Genealogy & Family FOR RESSIE LORECE SMITH, BORN OCT 8 1940 POPE COUNTY, ILLINOIS

My mother’s brother, the Reverend Lowell Williams, did a tremendous amount of work gathering information and copying documents regarding the Williams side of the family. I was fortunate to be able to copy all of his information during one of his visits to Elgin.
Cousins on my father’s side of the family researched all the way back to 1282 in England.

I participated in the National Geographic Genographic Project in 2005. According to the mitochondrial DNA testing, I belong to the Haplogroup H.
